American Chemistry Council Awards Transporter Highway Transport 2021 Responsible Care Partner of the Year Award
AThe Merican Chemistry Council (ACC) recently presented its 2021 Responsible Stewardship Partner of the Year award to Knoxville, Tennessee Trucking.
The Partner of the Year 2021 award recognizes an ACC partner who demonstrates “excellent performance and safety results in distribution, transportation, storage, use, treatment, disposal and sale and the marketing of chemicals.
Rick Lusby, Highway Transport’s vice president for safety, said: “To be recognized as Responsible Care Partner of the Year twice in three years is an honor. Being a leading example of safety in an industry where responsibility is important is a priority for road transport. “
The ACC includes 97 responsible care partner companies that are committed to transparent safety reporting and mandatory audits.

Responsible Care is a global initiative that began in Canada in 1984. It was adopted by the US chemical industry in 1988 and is now practiced in 68 economies around the world.
Founded in 1948, Highway Transport provides bulk transportation of specialty chemicals. The tanker fleet operates from 14 service centers in major chemical manufacturing areas across the United States with a fleet of over 400 semi-trailers.
